Kevin Hart appears to have responded to the leaked Sony emails in which Sony exec Clint Culpepper calls him a “whore” with a post on his Instagram page.

Sony Exec Calls Kevin Hart A “Whore”

Hart’s name appears a few times in the recent emails leaked as part of the massive Sony hack. In an email written by Culpepper to Sony co-chairman Amy Pascal, Culpepper complains that Hart demanded to be paid more money to promote Think Like a Man Too on his personal Twitter page, in addition to his $3 million paycheck.

“I’m not saying he’s a whore, but he’s a whore…If he doesn’t do his normal routine, his film will not open as well and his brand will appear diminished and he will – in fact be f—king himself because we have his next 2 immediate films,” Culpepper reportedly wrote.

Hart is also mentioned in an email written from producer Scott Rudin to Pascal, in which they theorize about what movies President Obama might like – they go on to name films with African-American casts. “I bet he likes Kevin Hart,” Rudin wrote.

Kevin Hart Responds To Sony Hack

Hart posted a long message to his Instagram page on Friday morning that seems to respond to the leaked emails. In his post, Hart claimed that he asked for more money because he knows his “self worth” and defended his brand. “I look at myself as a brand and because of that I will never allow myself to be [taken] advantage of,” Hart wrote.

Hart also dismissed any controversy, saying, “I’m able to brush ignorance off of my shoulder and continue to move forward. I refuse to be broken people…with that being said [it’s] now time for me to get back to building this empire that I’ve always dreamed of.”
