Comedian Kevin Hart was one of three people involved in a car accident in Calabasas, California early Sunday, although his wife said he is going to be alright.
According to a report from the California Highway Patrol, the 40-year-old actor and the driver of the car, Jared Black, suffered “major back injuries” and were subsequently taken to nearby hospitals.
Nevertheless, Hart’s wife Eniko Parrish told TMZ on Monday her husband is “going to be just fine.”

Black was reportedly driving Hart’s vehicle when he lost control, veered off the road and rolled down an embankment. Police confirmed Black was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. According to several reports, officials said the third person involved in the crash was Black’s fiancee, celebrity trainer Rebecca Broxterman, who escaped uninjured after firefighters pulled her out of the backseat.

Hart purchased the 1970 Plymouth Barracuda involved in the accident in July as his 40th birthday present to himself.
Hart recently voiced a character in this summer’s The Secret Life of Pets 2 and is next set to reprise his role in 2017’s Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle in Jumanji: The Next Level, which is due for release in December.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who starred alongside Hart in both Jumanji and 2016’s Central Intelligence, shared an emotional post on Instagram after news broke of the comedian’s car crash.
Just one day before the crash, Hart shared a photo on his Instagram of him jumping into his pool. The actor-comedian said he loved being home for Labor Day Weekend.
