Kesha covered Bob Dylan‘s “It Ain’t Me, Babe” at the 2016 Billboard Music Award in Las Vegas Sunday night.

Kesha Sings Bob Dylan

Kesha has been embroiled in a protracted court battle with producer Dr. Luke, whom she has accused of sexually abusing her. Due to the details of the ongoing case, Kesha has been unable to record new music, and has more or less been absent from the music scene. The singer broke her hiatus Sunday night with the performance of the Bob Dylan classic “It Ain’t Me, Babe.”

Following the performance, Kesha took to Instagram to thank the Billboard Music Awards for inviting her to sing during the show.

“I’m so grateful for tonight and for the @billboardmusicawards_ for allowing me to sing. it’s my form of prayer. it my therapy. it literally reaches the untouched corners of my soul,” Kesha wrote. “Thank you for having me. ???? I have so much gratitude ???? thank you so f–king much to my fans I have you to thank for tonight. thank you for having my back in a way no one ever has before. ugh so emotional….❤️ love u.”

Kesha later posted a picture from the airport that showed a picture of her during her performance above the fold on the front page of the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “Just looking for a 530 am water…. flights before noon should be illegal,” she wrote.
