Kenya Moore confirmed rumors that the man she met on The Millionaire Matchmaker is, in fact, married to another woman.

Kenya Moore’s Boyfriend James Is Married

Moore, who stars on Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta, appeared on an episode of Millionaire Matchmaker with Patti Stanger that aired on March 22, 2015. In the episode, Stanger paired Moore with James Freeman, and the two hit it off instantly.

Moore has been open about her budding romance ever since, sharing a sweet Instagram photo of the two out on a date, calling Freeman her “Prince Charming.”

Less than two months after the episode aired, rumors surfaced that Freeman wasn’t such a Prince after all. In fact, Freeman reportedly got married one week after meeting Moore on the set of the reality series, but kept up his relationship with Moore. After filming, Freeman and Moore continued their relationship long distance, and Moore allegedly became suspicious after Freeman repeatedly avoided meeting again in person.

“Kenya was anxious to get some face time with James again, so she kept mentioning how they should meet up in person soon, either in L.A. or Atlanta. James kept pushing it off and Kenya just felt something wasn’t right. So she did some snooping on social media and connected the dots and found out that he was actually married! This all happened in the last couple days. She was pissed! She confronted him about it and he had no other choice but to fess up,” a source told Hollywood Life.

Once Moore realized the truth, she took to Instagram to break the news to her fans, admitting she had fallen in love with Freeman before learning the truth. “I am astounded and devastated to have learned of this news VIA social media as opposed to from him directly. However, I still believe in love and my heart remains open to the man God has for me. I wish him well,” she wrote.

Moore is heartbroken, according to the source, but is determined to move forward and find love. That said, she wouldn’t be putting her future relationships on camera any time soon. “Looking back on her relationship with James, it’s clear to her that he was just looking for his 15 minutes of fame. From now on, Kenya plans on keeping all dates and future relationships off-camera, that’s for sure,” the source added.

Moore’s fellow RHOA cast member, Claudia Jordan, appeared to address the drama on Twitter with a vague statement, writing, “Beware of those with no integrity willing to hurt those they love just to be on television. Fame is a prize to those that don’t have it”

However, the new Mrs. Freeman, Jaimi Gregory, told Radar Online that Moore was never in a real relationship with Freeman, and knew that he was married. “James was on Millionaire Matchmaker in September [2014] and I met him in December. We met on Match.com and three months later we were engaged,” Gregory explained, adding that they were married on April 3, 2015.

Gregory claims Freeman broke things off with Moore after only a few dates, but Moore contacted him again a few weeks ago after their episode of Millionaire Matchmaker aired. When he refused to meet with her, as a married man, Gregory alleged, “Kenya wrote to him and told him that he hurt her brand.”

Gregory said that Freeman didn’t meet with Moore because he felt she was putting him in an awkward spot. “She wasn’t respecting him. This was obviously a publicity stunt. I know it was,” she added.
