Kennedy Summers Calls Off Engagement To NBA Fiancé Jeff Withey

Playboy playmate Kennedy Summers has called off her engagement to NBA star Jeff Withey.

Summers announced through a rep that she and Withey are no longer planning to tie the knot and have officially called it quits. “‘While it has its many pros, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc. can also create many issues within a relationship,” said Kennedy’s rep Zack Teperman. “The negative effects of social media have claimed yet another couple.”

The couple made headlines back in June when Summers accused Withey of cheating on her and taking another woman to a movie. Summers put Withey on blast on his own Instagram page, captioning a picture of herself, “‘I cheated on this girl. I told my girlfriend I was going to the movies alone last night and then found this receipt. I also shouldn’t have given her my Instagram password like a dumba–.’

On Twitter, in a since-deleted tweet, Summers had written, “Could I please just once date a guy who isn’t f–king hoes on @Tinder while we’re dating.’

Withey has repeatedly denied the cheating claims. On Wednesday, the Utah Jazz center posted a series of tweets refuting the cheating allegations.

“News outlets keep saying that I “allegedly” cheated on my ex fiancée Kennedy Summers. Let me just make it very clear. I never cheated!! I care and love her very much and wish the best for her. But I am very sick of being portrayed as this person I am not,” Withey wrote. “Its possible for people to end relationships for other reasons than cheating. People that know me, know my character and know I’d never cheat”
