Caroline Kennedy has ended her bid for New York Senate seat vacated by Hillary Clinton, who was sworn in as Secretary of State on Wednesday, and once occupied by her uncle, the late Bobby Kennedy. According to the New York Times, Kennedy informed New York Governor David Paterson on Wednesday night, citing the illness of her uncle, Senator Edward Kennedy. Caroline, the last living heir to President John F. Kennedy and Jackie Onassis, was said to be Paterson's choice for the seat, which now could go to another dynastic heir–New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo. (Photo: WENN)
