Ken Bone In Ad for Izod
Ken Bone, who went viral as an undecided voter who asked a question at the second presidential debate, continues bask in the public spotlight.
He is now being featured on a new commercial for Izod, the brand of his signature red sweater, which he wore at the debate. The add is called “Ken Bone’s Fifteenth Minute,” and portrays a dramatic, yet still slightly funny message about internet fame, sweaters, the political process and voting. Bone says he wants to inspire positive change with his newfound fame, and urges people to “get out and vote.”
The commercial was posted on Izod’s YouTube channel, and a shorter version will adapted for TV. Izod asked their viewers: “If you had fifteen minutes, what would you say? Wearing an IZOD red sweater is optional, but recommended…we want you to be comfortable.”
“I don’t think I’m going to continue to be internet famous forever,” Bone said in the ad. “I really do expect at the end of the election, that it winds down. And when it’s over, it’s over, and I’m happy to have played my role.”
