What a whirlwind of a year it has been for young and rising country singer Kelsea Ballerini, from signing a record deal and having a Top 50 national hit to performing at the 2015 CMA Awards.

Ballerini, who released her debut album The First Time this May through Black River Entertainment, has been on the country radio spotlight with airplay that has skyrocketed through the past months. In celebration of her quick feat, Ballerini was set to perform her hit single “Love Me Like You Mean It” in front of numerous country stars at last night’s 2015 CMA Awards.

After singing most of the song, she introduced herself to the audience and had shown her gratitude to country radio stations across the nations in noticing her music, much to the satisfaction of the audience cheering her on.

The First Time had debuted at number four on the Billboard Top US Country chart while peaking at number 31 on the Billboard 200 with approximately 66,200 copies sold as of last October.
