Kelly Clarkson Releases Another Engagement Photo And Talks About Her New Role As Stepmom

Kelly Clarkson spoke about her fiancé Brandon Blackstock and her new role as stepmom with Ryan Seacrest, and released a new engagement photo this week.

“It’s two months away. It’s the end of October,” Clarkson told Seacrest about her wedding date.

Clarkson, who got engaged to her manager’s son in December of 2012, expressed her impatience while being interviewed by Seacrest for his radio show on Tuesday.

“I’m so over it. It’s so overwhelming. We’re just doing a lot – touring and the wedding and the Christmas album, so I’m over the wedding part,” Clarkson explained.

Though Clarkson insists she’s impatient to get the wedding over with, the details she has spilled about the ceremony make her wedding seem like a fun-filled affair rather than a chore. Close friend Blake Shelton, whom Blackstock manages, will be officiating, a task he’s done before.

“He’s done it before with people…Well, you’re technically already married when the ceremony happens. So it’s not like it’s gonna be null and void or anything ‘cause it’s Blake,” Clarkson told Entertainment Tonight in April.

Clarkson has been gushing about her fiancé for months and doesn’t deny she is impatient to be married.

“Brandon’s totally The One. I’ve never been so happy,” Clarkson told Cosmopolitan in January.

Clarkson and Blackstock’s marriage will not only make Clarkson a wife, but a stepmother as well. Blackstock has two children from a previous marriage – Savannah, 12, and Seth, 6. Clarkson told Seacrest that transitioning into motherhood so suddenly wasn’t easy, but that she loves her new family.

“I have a 12-year-old and a 6-year-old now…after being single for six years. We all live together and everything. It’s so different, but it’s perfect. They’re awesome and I actually really dig the mom thing,” Clarkson said.

Clarkson also released a new engagement photo via Twitter on Monday.

Clarkson looks beautiful in a white wedding gown, but no doubt her actually wedding dress will not be released until after her big day. Though she has already said that she will be wearing Vera Wang on her wedding day, Clarkson has refused to divulge any more details on her dress.

Clarkson also recently released a new music video for her wedding-themed song “Tie It Up."
