Kelly Clarkson, 30, is engaged to Brandon Blackstock, the stepson of country music legend Reba McEntire. The first-ever winner of American Idol took to Twitter to announce the news to her fans. “I'M ENGAGED!!!!! I wanted y'all to know!! Happiest night of my life last night! I am so lucky and am with the greatest man ever :),” Clarkson tweeted.

Clarkson also posted a picture of her yellow canary diamond engagement ring on whosay.com. The ring was designed by Blackstock and Johnathon Arndt. Clarkson says she can’t wait to design Blackstock’s ring with Johnathon.

In an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this November, Clarkson revealed she had been dating Blackstock since early this year and was thankful to have him in her life. "I am not alone for the first time for Thanksgiving and Christmas and I'm very happy," she said on the show. Clarkson also said that she expected to get engaged to Blackstock. "We will totally, probably elope," she told DeGeneres.

Clarkson had been single since 2006, when she split from singer-songwriter Graham Colton. "Before Brandon, Kelly had a really tough time with love," an insider familiar with Clarkson told US Weekly. "[Brandon] is just what she needed."
