Knightley, fresh off a whirlwind promotional and award show tour for The Imitation Game, has flown back to London with Righton and returned to everyday chores. The pregnant actress admitted that during the busy season, she was eating for two while her husband drank for two.
“My husband’s having a great time. I’m eating for two and he’s drinking for two,” Knightley told Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show last week. “There’s a lot of free champagne, so he thinks because I’m not drinking the free champagne, he has to. So, all of it.”
On Oscar night, Knightley once again impressed with her pregnancy fashion, wearing an eye-catching embroidered Valentino gown on the award show’s red carpet. The actress, who was nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting role for playing Joan Clarke in The Imitation Game, won the fashion game again at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in a Valentino couture dress and Chanel jewels.
Knightley is currently taking some time off to focus on welcoming her first baby with Righton, the Klaxons singer whom she married in 2013. Her next feature to hit theaters will be the adventure drama Everest, which she stars in alongside Jake Gyllenhaal, Robin Wright, Josh Brolin, Sam Worthington, Jason Clarke and Emily Watson.
Everest will hit theaters Sept. 18.
Knightley will make her Broadway debut in the title role of Thérèse Raquin in October 2015.
