Kaya Jones Says Pussycat Dolls Was A ‘Prostitution Ring’

Singer Kaya Jones describes former band The Pussycat Dolls as more of a “prostitution ring” than a musical group.

KAYA JONES ALLAGES PUSSYCAT DOLLS WAS A “PROSTITUTION RING”

In a series of tweets, Jones alleged that she was made to have sex with strangers and do various drugs to keep her quiet while she was in the band. My truth.I wasn’t in a girl group. I was in a prostitution ring.Oh & we happened to sing & be famous. While everyone who owned us made the $,” she wrote. “How bad was it?people ask-bad enough that I walked away from my dreams, bandmates&a 13 million dollar record deal.We knew we were going to#1. To be apart of the team you must be a team player.Meaning sleep with whoever they say.If you dont they have nothing on you to leverage. Yes I said leverage. Meaning after they turn you out or get you hooked on drugs they use it against you.Correct.Victimizing the victim again.”

“Tried to silence us,made us stronger.Tried to drug us,but we were wide awake.Tried to blacklist us,but fans followed. We arent kids anymore,” she continued. The children you messed with that survived the abuse, we are adults now.Are you ready old ones to fight?Cause you all are looking mighty old. Why don’t we report it? Because we are all abused! I personally have been warned if I tell I will … you know end up dead or no more career. Well …killing you or killing your soul what’s the difference. You do it for them.A teenagers go to jail for less. Will Hollywood?”

In addition, Jones made a jab at Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin, calling her “the den mother from hell,” and blaming her for the suicide of another band member, Simone Battles. “I want the den mother from hell to confess why another 1 of her girl group girls committed suicide?Tell the public how you mentally broke us,” Jones tweeted.

Antin responded immediately. “Kaya Jones was never a member of the Pussycat Dolls, but simply a Pussycat reject who’s looking for her 15 minutes of fame,” Antin responded in a statement. “I am shocked with the allegations Ms. Jones has stated and they are nothing more than disgusting, ridiculous lies. Ms. Jones was never an official member of the group, she was one of the many, many girls who auditioned for the Pussycat Dolls over the years.”

Antin was also angry that Jones brought Battles’ death into her rant. “I am especially incensed that Ms. Jones would bring up former GRL member, Simone Battles’, suicide. This is not just nasty, but it’s unfathomable and disrespectful to everyone who works towards suicide prevention and awareness,” Antin continued in her statement. “Bringing up Simone’s suicide, in such a brazen way, not only scars her family further, but the millions of people who loved and cared for Simone.”
