Katy Perry Shows Off $5 Million Engagement Ring From Orlando Bloom
After a two-year marriage to English comedian Russell Brand, Katy Perry started a healthy relationship with actor Orlando Bloom. After splitting up, the two “made their relationship a priority” after reconciling last year.
On February 14, Valentine’s Day, the 42-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star proposed to 34-year-old Perry. The couple then proceeded to break the news through social media. “Full bloom,” Perry captioned a selfie with her fiancé, along with a gorgeous engagement ring. The flower-shaped piece contains a pink center stone, diamonds surrounding that, and then a gold band. “Lifetimes,” Bloom wrote alongside the same image, where the two had posed in front of heart-shaped balloons.

“Katy’s unbelievable engagement ring from Orlando Bloom would retail in the range of $5 million,” Andrew Brown, President of WP Diamonds told E! News. “What looks to be a 4-carat fancy vivid pink oval-shaped diamond arranged with eight white diamonds around it to assemble a flower ‘in bloom’ — this ring is truly one-of-a-kind and wildly valuable.”
The couple first appeared in the rumor mill over three years ago. Then, when they were seen at a 2016 Golden Globe awards after-party, the speculation went through the roof. Only two months later, reports noted that they were an official couple.
After a March 2017 split, the pair seemed done. But a summer fling reignited things and after a few romantic getaways, the two are ready to tie the knot.
“They’ve been talking about getting engaged for a while. After reconciling Katy has felt very secure with Orlando and they both knew it was different this time,” a source told People. “They made their relationship a priority and both of them literally flew all around the world to keep their relationship strong.” They added that the two “want to start a family sooner rather than later.”
