Katy Perry departed from her typical red carpet style in a tuxedo-inspired number at the Katy Perry: The Prismatic World Tour screening event Thursday.
Perry arrived at The Theatre at Ace Hotel Downtown LA in a Balenciaga Pre-Fall 2015 tuxedo dress with classic tailoring. The pop star complemented the chic dress with lace up over-the-knee Giambattista Valli Fall 2015 boots. She accessorized with statement rings and gave her face a pop with a dark berry lip.
Later on in the night, Perry captioned a picture of herself inside the screening, “About to get thrown out of my own premiere for snapping selfies.”
Get The Look For Less: Dress, Neiman Marcus, $220. Shoes, Macy’s, $51.97.
Perry, whose many fans are eagerly anticipating the premiere of The Prismatic World Tour, has a deep appreciation for her fandom. Not only does she say she has an “authentic connection” to her fans, she feels like they’re her children.
“The fandoms are fabulous and they are different in their own way, but I believe that with my audience and the people that have thoroughly enjoyed my music over the years, we have a very intimate, genuine, authentic connection,” Perry told JustJared.
“I think that’s what has kept us connected throughout all this time because I remember them, they remember me,” she added. “We treat each other pretty equally and I’m their mom. I’m their mom!!! I have a lot of kids.”
Katy Perry: The Prismatic World Tour premieres on EPIX Saturday, March 38 at 8/7c.
