Katy Perry & Orlando Bloom Break Up After Year Of Dating

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have decided to take a break from their relationship after one year of dating.

Perry, 32, and Bloom, 40, first were linked at the 2016 Golden Globes, so have been together about a year. They were seen together as recently as Sunday night at Vanity Fair‘s Oscars party, and on Monday Bloom posted a photo of Perry’s dog to his Instagram account.

“Before rumors or falsifications get out of hand we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time,” said the stars’ reps.

Fans are confused about the split, considering how close the pair had gotten. In an interview with People, Bloom’s ex Miranda Kerr praised Perry for her great relationship with her son Flynn Bloom, 6.

Perry and Bloom had reportedly been talking about children as well, with Perry admitting that children are becoming more of a focus for her, and sources have said Bloom was interested in having more kids with Perry.

“Children to me are becoming a big focus,” Perry told Us Weekly. “I don’t even have one, but I see it in my sister’s kids and just how much nurturing and love they need.”

The couple has already been spending time apart, with Bloom shooting a film in China and Perry on the awards show circuit.
