Katy Perry hosted the MTV VMAs on Sunday and sang her latest single “Swish Swish” with some help from Nicki Minaj.
The set featured a large half basketball with a platform on the top that Perry began singing on. Her dress was also basketball themed, as were her backup dancers. About two and a half minutes into the performances, the basketball spun around revealing Minaj inside.
She performed her rap segment of the song, and sang her part. She wore a sexualized referee’s costume, with a deep cut over her chest. Perry came back out connected to wires, and she flew over the crowd to a platform in the middle. She landed atop an oversized basketball hoop, and ended the song by dropping a ball through the hoop.
