Katy Perry Goes Viral With Strange Concert Clip Showing Her Dealing With Eye Issue

Katy Perry is known for putting on a great show, but you can make any concert seem more awkward than it was by isolating the strangest moment from it and sharing it online.

In this video, Perry was taking a break from singing and didn’t even have her microphone in hand, and went unfortunately viral because her right eye kept shutting.

Perry has gone viral for strange moments while performing before but played this situation off well for as stressful as it may have been. Her eyelid just kept closing during this break, and Perry had to lift her finger to her cheek to adjust it.

It doesn’t actually last that long, but something about the repetition definitely makes it feel more extended and awkward.

Fans didn’t seem bothered at the show, though she did get roasted online like the below caption referring to the incideent as a “clone malfunction.”

 

There’s little chance any of this bothered Perry, though. As some fans pointed out, she has had a good natured sense of humor about her eye. In one old Tweet that some fans unearthed, Perry responded to a fan’s compliment of her photo with “that wonk eye tho.”

She even clarified in a later photo that her “wonk” eye is the right eye, the same one that had the issues in the more recent vid. This whole situation could have also just been a makeup issue.

There’s a good chance that some of Perry’s eyelash glue melted in the hot lights and caused her lids to shut inadvertently.

Eye wonk or no eye wonk, Perry seems to be treating crowds in Las Vegas to a great show during her residency called Katy Perry: Play. She is done with Vegas shows for the year, but if you happen to be in Tokyo around Thanksgiving, you can see her then.
