Katy Perry recently decided to ditch her longer-lock look and get a bob with short bangs.

Perry debuted the new hairdo on Instagram in a picture with a Pomeranian puppy. “Baaaaaast fraaaandsss fur-avaa,” she captioned the snap with her new K-9 pal. Perry, who is known to change up her look frequently, made no mention of her noticeably shorter haircut.

It’s possible that the “Dark Horse” singer is only trying on a new wig for size. After all, in the music video of the single, Perry does spend some time channeling Egyptian pharaoh Cleopatra.

However, Perry has been spotted out and about with the new look more than once. On Sunday, Perry added a headband to accentuate her new style while strolling through Hollywood with her boyfriend and rumored fiancé John Mayer.

While out to dinner on Valentine’s Day at Sunset Towers with Mayer, Perry – rocking her bob – also appeared to be wearing a new diamond on her left ring finger. Sources say, that although the pair is going strong since their latest reconciliation, they’re not yet headed down the aisle.
