Katie Holmes Celebrates Her Daughter Suri Cruise’s 15th Birthday With Throwback Pics

Katie Holmes is the mom of a 15-year-old.

The 42-year-old actress shared three black-and-white throwback photos in honor of her daughter Suri Cruise‘s birthday on Sunday. The first photo shows a young Suri with two boys while the other two show her being hugged by her mother.

“Happy 15th Birthday Sweetheart!,” Holmes wrote. “I love you!!!!!!!! I can’t believe you are already 15!”

Holmes, usually private in her family life, seems to make an exception for her daughter. Last year, the Dawson’s Creek star shared a photo of Suri in a flower crown for her quarantine birthday celebration. “Birthday vibes,” she wrote.

In November, Holmes opened up to Vogue Australia about her time spent in quarantine with her daughter. “Hobbies such as sewing, painting and writing became new hallmarks of satisfaction and having had time at home to just be. To listen,” she wrote. “To live for a moment in time without the pressure of results and instead appreciate the natural rhythms of mother and daughter was the most precious gift.”

She added, “During this time of uncertainty, remembering to be creative and positive has been something I have tried to keep at the forefront of my mind. Throughout this experience the through-line for me has been a heightened awareness of each moment and really taking it in and appreciating it.”
