TLC has canceled reality series Kate Plus 8, the network confirmed Monday, though it did leave the door open for a possible future special with the Gosselin clan. "TLC has decided not to renew another season of Kate Plus 8," the network said in a statement. "By the end of this season Kate Plus 8 will have hit the 150 episode mark (including Jon & Kate Plus 8); an exceptional milestone. TLC hopes to check in with Kate and the family periodically with specials in the future."
Although the cancellation came as a shock to the Gosselin family, there are no hard feelings. Kate recently admitted that she's anxious to get behind the camera as a producer. Aside from trying her hand at production, Gosselin said her children are pushing her to remarry. “I'm definitely ready to start dating," she told The Today Show last Monday.
