Kate Pierson, the B-52s singer, recently married her longtime girlfriend Monica Coleman in Hawaii.
Pierson and Coleman tied the knot in front of close friends and family members at their Hawaii destination wedding last weekend. For the nuptials, Pierson wore a victorian-styled pink dress, while Coleman went with a pale gold wedding gown. Both brides wore traditional Hawaii leis, and Pierson even went a step further with a floral crown.
Pierson’s B-52s bandmates Keith Strickland, Cindy Wilson and Fred Schneider were all in attendance at the wedding with Schneider giving the best man speech. Also present were singer Sia Fuller and her husband Erik Anders Lang.
“Sia performed the song she wrote for the couple ‘Crush Me With Your Love’ on Pierson’s first solo album Guitars and Microphones,” a rep for Pierson told E! News. “[She] was accompanied by the famous Hawaii music group the Lim Family who serenaded the attendees during the event.”
Pierson and Coleman have been together since 2003.
