Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, have welcomed a daughter, whose name has yet to be revealed.
Middleton gave birth to her first daughter on Saturday, May 2 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London. The baby girl was born at 8:34 a.m. local time and weighed 8lb, 3 oz. The birth was announced on Twitter and on the traditional gold easel outside Buckingham Palace.
Only 10 hours after giving birth, Kate emerged from the hospital holding her newborn daughter in her arms with Will at her side. Earlier in the day, Will had brought their first born son Prince George in to see his little sister. The princess is now fourth in line to the British throne.
Though the name of the new princess has yet to be revealed, oddsmakers believe that the Duke and Duchess have named their daughter Alice. Other possible names that are favored include Charlotte, Alexandra and Victoria.
Prince George was born at St. Mary’s July 22, 2013.
