On Friday, Kate Middleton spent time with the First Lady of the U.S., Dr. Jill Biden, in England.

Middleton and Biden met some of the children and teachers from the Connor Downs Academy preschool in the Hayle neighborhood.

Biden is an educator and an advocate for schooling and teachers. When the two women arrived, they put their masks on at the entrance and sat down in small chairs to take part in a lesson with the children.

While in the classroom, Biden and Middleton talked with the young students about what books they were reading and what they were drawing.

The head of the school said that the children were “quite aware of who’s coming and obviously incredibly excited in the way that a 4 or 5-year-old can be.”

The two also fed the school rabbits some snacks, where they engaged in conversation quietly, out of earshot of the press.

During the event, there was a Q&A session, where Middleton revealed that she has not yet been able to meet her newborn niece, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s daughter, Lilibet Diana.

“I wish her all the very best. I can’t wait to meet her!” said Middleton. She also said they haven’t FaceTimed yet either and that she hopes to meet her “soon.”
