Karrueche Tran, Ex-Girlfriend Of Chris Brown, Granted Permanent Restraining Order
Karrueche Tran, an ex-girlfriend of Chris Brown who has accused the singer of of several crimes including domestic violence, was granted a permanent restraining order against Brown.
The order was granted on Thursday in a Santa Monica courtroom. Brown was not there during the ruling or to hear the testimony against him. The couple broke up a little more than three years ago.
Tran, 29, claimed that, beyond the physical abuse, Brown became aggressive after the actress and model refused to return jewelry that the singer had gifted her during their relationship, according to TMZ.
“I’m not being nice to you no more, if I see you out in public again and I’m there I will make you hate me even more,” Tran claimed Brown wrote in a text message. “Don’t be anywhere I’m out in public, I’m going to ban you from all events.”
In another text, Tran claims Brown wrote, “B**** I will beat the s*** out of you.”
Tran initially filed a temporary restraining order against Brown back in February. In her first written testimony, Tran said Brown punched her twice in the stomach and pushed her down a flight of stairs while they were still together. After breaking up, Tran says, Brown threatened to kill her, according to E!.
Brown was ordered to stay away from Tran in early May and soon after Tran’s close friend, J.Ryan La Cour also filed a restraining order against Brown.
“In the past, Chris Brown has threatened me and run up on me for not allowing him to bully Karrueche Tran in my presence,” La Cour wrote in May. “More recently, making threats to her saying that he will beat anyone that is friends with her.”
Brown has denied the allegations – although the judge wouldn’t allow him to join the trial by phone on Thursday. At the time of the first filing in February, Brown tweeted, in a since deleted post, “Make sure ya’ll don’t be listening to all this bulls***, man. What all them other people on the outside doing, let them do what they doing. I don’t know what the f*** they talking about.”
The Grammy winner has abused his girlfriends in the past. In 2009, Brown plead guilty to felony assault of his then girlfriend, Rihanna.
