Model Karlie Kloss revealed that she has tried to talk and persuade Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner to accept the fact that Donald Trump lost the 2020 presidential election.

Kloss is married to Joshua Kushner, brother to Jared. On January 6, Trump supporters surrounded and broke into the Capitol building claiming the results of the election were fraudulent. Congress, in the middle of counting the electoral votes, were evacuated to a safe location. The voting later resumed.

Kloss tweeted out about the attack, “Accepting the results of a legitimate democratic election is patriotic. Refusing to do so and icing violence is anti-American.”

One Twitter user responded with, “Tell your sister in law and brother in law.”

“I’ve tried,” Kloss replied.

On Thursday, Kloss tweeted a photo in support of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris officially being named president-elect of the United States. “Congratulations President-Elect Biden and Vice-President Harris. Your leadership gives me hope.”

Kloss made her political beliefs know before the election in November when she posted a photo on Instagram with her main-in ballot, wearing a “Biden Harris” face mask. She later celebrated their win with a photo captioned, “President-elect Joe Biden and MADAM Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.”

Her political beliefs were questioned din January 2020 when Project Runway’s Brandon Maxwell asked, “Not even to dinner with the Kushners?” when he couldn’t picture the model wearing a certain contestant’s dress. Kloss addressed the comment on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, “I’m sure I’m not the only person in the country who does not necessarily agree with their family on politics,” she said. “I voted as a Democrat in 2016 and I plan to do the same in 2020.”

Kloss and her husband are currently expecting their first child together. She shared the news on her Instagram in November.
