Kanye West Says He Can’t Book Venues After Antisemitic Remarks, Compares Himself To Elvis Presley

Controversial rapper Kanye West said he has experienced difficulty securing venues for his performances as of late and attributed the challenges to his past antisemitic statements that have had a major impact on his financial prospects.

In a now-deleted video on Instagram, West expressed his recent hardships, accompanied by a distinct lisp caused by his newly acquired $850,000 titanium teeth.

West mentioned the struggles he faced in booking arenas and cryptically added, “And you know why that is.”

In a subsequent post, West curiously drew a parallel between his tribulations and those encountered by the legendary Elvis Presley.

“For an entire year, I have been denied the opportunity to perform,” he wrote. “It feels reminiscent of an Elvis Presley movie.”

West revealed that the only venue he managed to secure for his upcoming tour is the United Center in his hometown of Chicago.

“We just sold out the United Center in seven minutes, and I just want to express to everybody out there to see if it’s anyone that can help with this,” he said. “It’s the only arena that I had access to in the past year… And when I call, people say there are no avails for me, and you know why that is.”

He appealed to his followers with the statement, “So if there’s anybody out there that can help with this, please do.”

A mere six hours later, West seemed to receive positive news from the industry when he shared a screenshot of a text message from his booking manager, which revealed an influx of offers and availability from various venues around the world.

The text read, “Crazy amount of no. stop calls from all over the world. Will send new offers and avails tomorrow.”

The artist went on to share additional screenshots of text conversations on his Instagram Story, which showed communication with representatives from venues such as Petco Park in San Diego, SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, multiple venues in New York City, Galaxy Arena in Hong Kong, as well as locations in Brazil, China and Egypt.

West faced backlash and subsequently apologized for his previous antisemitic remarks.

The artist delivered a series of controversial statements in December, which included references to Donald Trump, Jesus and Adolf Hitler.

He also criticized the enrollment of wealthy individuals’ children in what he referred to as “Zionist schools” and expressed dissatisfaction with the private school attended by his own children.

West recently got physical with a photographer who asked whether his wife had “free will.”
