Kanye West Lists ‘Bomb Shelter’ Home In Malibu Without Doors, Windows Or HVAC For $53 Million
Kanye West is putting his highly unusual Malibu property on the market.
The rapper wants to sell his beachfront Malibu property for $53 million, which is $4 million less than he paid for. The price was largely slashed, mainly due to a “gut renovation” West ordered.
The Malibu property will need to be completed with HVAC, interior finishes, doors, windows, and utilities that will need about several million dollars of renovations.
The house was designed by well-known architect Tadao Ando and is one of the few houses he created.
West has several issues related to the home. In September, a contractor sued him, claiming he was forced to work 16 hours a day on the house and fired for not ripping out the electrical system and replacing it with wire generators, which he claimed would be an illegal fire hazard.
West was reportedly trying to turn the property into a “bomb shelter.”
The house is currently being listed by the Oppenheim Group, which has been made famous by the Netflix series Selling Sunset.
West made headlines last week after his new single was accused of being antisemitic.
