Kanye West Calls Taylor Swift A ‘Fake A–‘ In Leaked Rant From ‘SNL’ Appearance

Kanye West had a meltdown backstage at Saturday Night Live, where ranted about Taylor Swift.

Kanye West Rant On Taylor Swift

West, who reportedly almost didn’t go through with his SNL performance, became upset when he learned that his stage design had been changed less than an hour before he was due to perform. West was mad about that – and Swift, apparently, who seemed to call him out about his reference to her in his new track “Famous” during her Grammy acceptance speech.

“Look at that sh–, they took my fucking stage off a SNL without asking me. Now I’m bummed,” West said. “That and Taylor Swift, fake a–.”

“Now I ain’t gonna do this, we’re breaking the motherf–king Internet,” he said later. “I went through six years of this f–king shit. Let’s get to it, bro. Let’s get to it, bro.”

Then, West, in a rage, shouts about how he’s 50% more influential than filmmaker Stanley Kubrick, the Biblical Apostle Paul, Cubist artist Pablo Picasso and just about anyone else.

“Are they f–king crazy, bro? By 50 percent. Stanley Kubrick, Apostle Paul, Picasso… f–king Picasso and Escobar. By 50 percent, more influential than any other human being. Don’t f–k with me. Don’t f–k with me. Don’t f–k with me,” West says. “By 50 percent, dead or alive, by 50 percent for the next thousand years. Stanley Kubrick. Ye.”

In response to the leaked audio, a representative for West has defended the rap artist, explaining that West had reason to be disgruntled.

“This audio was secretly recorded while he was venting his frustration in a private moment with his team. He found out his stage design was changed and taken apart under the direction of the show’s lighting director without anyone’s approval,” the rep told Rolling Stone. “He spent an entire day rehearsing and a lot of hard work into the performance. Dramatic set changes were made 30 minutes before going live. It should be understandable why he was upset after being completely blindsided.”

The rep further stated that West had reconciled with SNL‘s cast and crew, as well as producer Lorne Michaels following the show.

“Kanye was seen hugging Lorne Michaels just before the goodnights and he stayed afterwards to chat with the staff and the cast, and thanked the producers on his way out the door,” said the insider.

As for West, it’s possible he was addressing the comments he made in private on Twitter Wednesday, writing, “My number one enemy has been my ego… there is only one throne and that’s God’s.”
