Kanye West Buys Mansion Across The Street From Ex-Wife Kim Kardashian

Kanye West has purchased a home across the street from his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.

The Los Angeles mansion, a five-bedroom just over 3,650 feet, reportedly cost West $4.5 million, $421,000 over the home’s original asking price. Among other amenities, it has a swimming pool and a stable for horses.

This is not the only real estate purchase that West has made in recent months. For example, in September, West bought a $53.7 million Malibu beach house.

West, 44, had originally spent part of his time living with Kardashian in the home she currently occupies. He was involved in designing the home. However, when the couple divorced, he gave his interest in the home to Kardashian, 41.

West and Kardashian were married for six years before Kardashian filed from divorce on Feb. 19, 2021. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for split, and stated that “no counseling or reconciliation effort” could remedy the situation.

In November, West, who in recent years has rebranded himself as a born-again Christian, said that God wanted him and Kardashian together. He said, “The narrative God wants is to see that we can be redeemed in all these relationships. We’ve made mistakes. I’ve made mistakes. I’ve publicly done things that were not acceptable as a husband, but right now today, for whatever reason—I didn’t know I was going to be in front of this mic—but I’m here to change the narrative.”

He said in a video for Thanksgiving that he thinks daily about how he can get his “family back together and how I heal the pain that I’ve caused.”

Earlier this month, West performed at a benefit show with rapper Drake. In the performance, West changed the lyrics to his song “Runaway,” whose original lyrics depict urging a partner to flee from the narrator. At the concert, West instead sang, “I need you to run right back to me, more specifically Kimberly.”

The divorced couple have four children together. Eight-year-old North, six-year-old Saint, three-year-old Chicago and two-year-old Psalm all live with Kardashian.

West has said that he wishes to be “next to my children as much as possible,” which could explain his decision to purchase a house across the street.

The reality TV star has not indicated any desire to rekindle her relationship with West. Reports indicate that she is currently dating 28-year-old comedian Pete Davidson.
