Wide receiver Mecole Hardman Jr. and his girlfriend Chariah Gordon celebrated the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl win with a new addition to the family.

Hardman Jr., 24, tweeted on Sunday that Gordon, 27, was in labor on Sunday morning.

Gordon confirmed the news when she posted Hardman Jr.’s tweet over a Boomerang in an ambulance on her Instagram.

Hardman Jr. didn’t miss the birth of his child as before the game, he publicly confirmed that he wouldn’t be playing in the Super Bowl due to a pelvic injury.

Hardman Jr. and Gordon announced their new addition to the family in October 2022 following a gender reveal party.

On his Instagram, the football player shared that he was proud to have a baby boy. “I was #TeamBoy all the way! Happy my baby produce boys,” Hardman captioned the post.

In December, Hardman Jr. shared a photo of himself and Gordon wearing matching pajamas in front of a Christmas tree.

“Merry Christmas to everyone and this our Last Christmas we have to ourselves,” Hardman Jr. wrote.

However, Hardman Jr. wasn’t the only Kansas City Chiefs player to have a child on Super Bowl Sunday.

NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero tweeted that Chiefs guard Nick Allegretti‘s wife Christina delivered twin girls early Sunday morning.
