Justin Timberlake, 31 is coming under fire for a video in which homeless people are congratulating him on his wedding to actress Jessica Biel, 30.

The video, made by Justin Huchel, a friend of Timberlake’s, opens with a card saying “Greetings from your Hollywood friends who couldn’t make it.” The film goes on to show interviews with 10 random individuals, all of whom appear to be homeless.

One man, missing a tooth, congratulates Justin and Jessica and says, “My gift is in the mail.” Another person, who appears to be a transvestite or transgendered, wishes the couple good luck and tells Jessica to watch her man. Another individual has his shirt taken off, at the request of Huchel and wishes the couple well.

The video was intended to mock the extravagant wedding of the couple, but when the site Gawker obtained a copy of the video, many were offended. Huchel’s lawyer Michael J. Saltz sent Gawker writer John Cook a cease-and-desist letter. “Mr. Huchel has not assigned, licensed or authorized in any manner any one to otherwise possess, exhibit or use his copyrighted video for any purpose.” The letter goes on to threaten Cook and Gawker Media with legal action should the video continue to remain on the site. The video has recently been taken down.

Timberlake himself has released an open letter apologizing for the video and denying any involvement in its production or that it was shown at his wedding. “I want to say that, on behalf of my friends, family, and associative knuckleheads, I am deeply sorry to anyone who was offended by the video. Again, it was something that I was not made aware of. But, I do understand the reaction and, by association, I am holding myself accountable.”

However, the Twitterverse doesn’t seem to be fully forgiving of Timberlake. "It's official I am no longer a @timberlake fan!! Unfollowing you right now! Mocking the homeless is wrong! #Pissed," tweeted StephBreezy678.
