During a Justin Bieber concert at the Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia, a Bieber-hating teenager threw eggs at the pop star and his backup dancers. Videos show that the teenager had narrowly missed Bieber and his dancers, who kept on performing during the incident. Officials at the arena heard about the event through various social networking sites and then complained to the police.
The Australian police arrested the boy, whose name has not been revealed to the press, at his home in Bondi Junction in New South Wales, Australia, and policed took away his cell phone and other personal items. They say he broke into the arena through the roof. The teenager appeared in the Sydney Children’s Court on Thursday. He was charged with breaking and entering, trespassing and malicious damage. He was released on bail and will enter a plea next month.
Bieber has not responded on the event. He is finishing up his world tour in Australia with a final concert in the Philippines. Bieber has been nominated for two 2010 Grammy awards, Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album. The DVD of his concert film Justin Bieber: Never Say Never will be released on May 13.
