Justin Bieber’s tour bus was stopped at the US/Canadian border Sunday after officials found marijuana and drug paraphernalia on board.

Bieber’s tour bus was stopped at the Ambassador Bridge, attempting to enter Michigan from Windsor, Ontario. The bus was searched twice – the second time, a drug-sniffing dog alerted officials that there were drugs present. A small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia was found. The bus driver was issued a civil penalty, and the bus and passengers were released.

Bieber, 19, was not on board the bus, and later performed at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Mich. He was likely in a separate vehicle on his way to the show.

This isn’t the first time Bieber’s name has been associated with marijuana use. In January, a paparazzi photo showed him smoking what appeared to be marijuana. In April, his bus was stopped in Sweden and officials reportedly smelled marijuana and found a stun gun. No arrests were made.
