Justin Bieber was caught on camera telling a racist joke in a video that has just recently leaked to the public.
Bieber, now 20, was 15 when the video in question was recorded. In it, the pop singer can be heard telling a joke that begins, “Why are black people afraid of chainsaws?” Before Bieber utters his punch line an off-camera pal warns him “Don’t even say it.”
Instead of heeding the friend’s advice, Bieber concludes, “Run, n—-r, n—-r…”
A woman can be heard laughing in the background along with Bieber, and adding, “You could say motorcycle too!”
Although the video was recorded four years ago, TMZ only decided to release it now after it was published on a British pay site. The gossip site claimed they’d previously opted to keep the video from public view after hearing that Bieber was remorseful about telling the joke and admitted to his friends that it was stupid shortly after telling it.
Bieber is reportedly “frustrated and sad” about the video leak and has plans to address the four-year-old incident publicly in the near future.
