Last June, Justin Bieber revealed his diagnosis of Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which left his face partially paralyzed.
In a video on Instagram, he explained that the complications from the virus caused one side of his face to be unable to move. “As you can see this eye is not blinking. I can’t smile on this side of my face. This nostril will not move,” the singer said.

In September 2022, he stated he would take a break from the Justice World Tour to prioritize his health. Before this announcement, the pop star attempted to continue his tour in July. He performed six live shows that left him exhausted, leading him to call off the tour.
Earlier this month, Bieber called off his remaining tour dates.
On Ticketmaster, concerts in the U.S., Ireland, France, Poland, Australia, Denmark and the Czech Republic are all labeled as canceled.
Ramsay Hunt syndrome occurs when shingles affect the facial nerve near an ear. The rare disease comes from the same virus that causes chickenpox, the varicella-zoster virus. It can cause facial paralysis and in more serious cases, hearing loss.
However, on Wednesday, the 29-year-old showcased the mobility in his face to his fans. “Wait for it,” he wrote while moving his eyes from side to side and then smiling as the song “Ice T” by Tems played.
He added, “I just tweeted everything I could think of and I’m still alive.”
