Justin Bieber took to Instagram to address concerns that his antics in London indicate that the young pop star might benefit from a stint in rehab.

“Everyone in my team has been telling me, ‘keep the press happy’ but I’m tired of all the countless lies in the press right now,” Bieber wrote. “Saying I’m going to rehab and how my family is disappointed in me. My family is beyond proud.”

Bieber then attempted to launch an argument against the suggestion that he needs a break from his partying ways, which addressed his success as an artist and little else. “I’m 19 with 5 number one albums, 19 and I’ve seen the whole world,” he boasted. “19 and I’ve accomplished more than I could’ve ever dreamed of. I’m 19 and it must be scary to some people to think that this is just the beginning.”

The pop star took great pains in his Instagram post, as he had done on Twitter during his rough week in London, to appear unscathed by the press – the same press that’s getting the rise out of him to cause the frequent rants. He then went on to write about what a good person he is, and how big his heart is. And then, immediately following his pats on the back, said something that contradicted those notions.

“I’m growing up finding myself while having people watch me and criticise me everyday i think im doing pretty da** good. comparing me to Lindsey Lohan. look at her 2012 tax statements ;),” he quipped.

Bieber has since deleted the line about Lindsay Lohan, replacing it with, “All this isn't easy. I get angry sometimes. I'm human. I'm gonna make mistakes. In gonna grow and get better from them. But all the love from you guys overcomes the negativity. I love u. Thanks.”

He might not need rehab, but his image might benefit from a break from social media.
