Justin Bieber will not face felony charges in the attempted robbery charge against him in LA and is rumored to be finalizing a plea deal in his DUI case in Miami.
Bieber was accused of trying to take a woman’s cell phone from her in May when she was trying to take a photo of the young singer at a mini golf course. According to the complaint, the accuser put her phone away when Bieber’s bodyguards requested that no photos be taken, only to be confronted by Bieber, who accused her of videotaping him.
“He demanded to see her phone, then reached into her purse and pulled the phone out,” reads the report.
Los Angeles County district attorney decided that the charges brought against Bieber “does not warrant felony prosecution” (https://www.cnn.com/2014/06/12/showbiz/justin-bieber-robbery-probe/), and now it is up to a Los Angeles city attorney to decide whether or not to pursue misdemeanor charges. Bieber could still face felony charges resulting from the egging incident that occurred in January.
Meanwhile, in Miami, TMZ reports that Bieber will plead guilty to reckless driving, but charges of a DUI, resisting arrest and driving without a valid license will be dropped. Sources say that, as a result of the deal, Bieber will have to attend anger management classes and pay a fine, but will not be put on probation.
While the plea deal is rumored to be presented in court before the end of June, sources claim that the deal took so long because the Miami judge wanted the deal to include Bieber’s participation in an anti-drug PSA and alcohol education courses, two terms which Bieber’s team refused.
In other Bieber news, the 20-year-old recently stirred up rumors that he got back together with his ex, Selena Gomez. On Wednesday, June 11, Bieber posted a photo to Instagram of Gomez cuddling up to him with the caption “Our love is unconditional.” The photo was quickly deleted, but reports suggest that the two are, indeed, together again.
