Justin Bieber gave a lively performance at the O2 Arena in Dublin, Ireland on Feb. 17 before finding out the nomination results for Canada’s Juno Awards today.
Bieber will be pitted against Carly Rae Jepsen in a total of four major categories at Canada’s Juno Awards this year. The Canadian music awards ceremony, which will be held at the Brandt Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan will take place on April 21. Bieber will face off against the “Call Me Maybe” singer for best artist, album, pop album and the fan choice award. While Justin has been the hottest name in pop music out of Canada in the last few years, it’s Jepsen who leads the nominations with 5 to Bieber’s 4.
Certainly Bieber isn’t too worried about it. After unleashing Beliebers on Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney last week after he said the pop singer doesn’t need a Grammy since he’s rich, Bieber continued to prove his ability to electrify his fans at the O2 Arena. “Ireland the #BELIEVEtour is back and in EUROPE! Leggo!” an enthusiastic Bieber tweeted. The UK leg of his Believe tour goes until Mar. 8, when he'll head to Lisbon, Portugal and continue on through Europe.
