Justin Bieber, the Canadian singer, has spent a lot of time within the United States’ borders, even having his recent wedding in New York City last Thursday to Haley Baldwin. And Bieber’s profound love for the country is now inspiring him to apply for United States citizenship.
According to TMZ, Bieber has applied for dual citizenship. If successful, he’ll legally become a United States citizen while retaining his Canadian citizenship. The “Baby” singer is said to harbor “a deep love for the U.S. and an appreciation” for the country where he attained stardom.

Bieber was born Ontario, moving to Atlanta when he was only 13 years old. Since then, the United States has served as his home. Nevertheless, he still holds affection for the country he was born in, recently purchasing a $5 million mansion in Ontario.
There are five steps Bieber needs to complete in order to attain United States citizenship. As he already has a green card, he has proof that he has a right to live here. Bieber also needs to fill the USCIS Form N-400, and pass a background check by the FBI as well as an interview that will test his knowledge on United States history. The fifth step is to pledge allegiance to the United States at an oath ceremony.
