Justin Bieber was caught in a scuffle on Saturday night when his bodyguards allegedly assaulted a man outside the South Pointe nightclub in Southampton, N.Y.

Bieber and his entourage of 12 reportedly arrived at the club around 3 a.m., where they stayed for about an hour in the VIP section. In video obtained by E! News, Bieber is seen waiting outside with his team around his SUV. The altercation is said to have taken place moments after when a man was reportedly struck by Bieber’s bodyguards.

According to reports, the man in question went to the Peconic Bay Medical Center on Sunday and filed a complaint against the bodyguards that very day. Bieber is not a suspect in the assault, though it seems that Bieber was surrounded by a crowd of fans while he waited in his SUV for two waitresses he picked up at the club. As the crowd grew, conflict arose, and that is when the alleged fight broke out.

Reps for Bieber have not commented on the incident, but South Pointe released a statement that revealed that the alleged assault victim threw a rock at Bieber’s car.

“The police are currently investigating an incident that happened off premise and down the street from South Pointe in which Justin Bieber’s security confronted the individual after their car was struck with a rock after 4 a.m. The police have confirmed that there was no incident in the club or on the premises and the altercation took place off the premises. They have asked the South Pointe staff not to comment further as it is a police investigation,” reads the statement issued by South Pointe.

The club reportedly added that the man was not seriously injured during the altercation with Bieber’s bodyguards.
