One of the jurors in the Amber Heard trial broke his silence over the controversial defamation trial. He revealed that some jury members refused to buy Heard’s “crocodile tears” and did not believe her testimony was genuine.
During an interview with Good Morning America, an unidentified male juror was the first person to speak out after the contentious six-week trial between Heard and Johnny Depp.
He described Heard’s crying as “crocodile tears” and believed she was putting up an act.
“It didn’t come across as believable,” the juror said. “It seemed like she was able to flip the switch on her emotions. She would answer one question and she would be crying and two seconds later she would turn ice cold. It didn’t seem natural.”
The juror also describes the unease the jury felt when Heard would stare at the jury when answering questions.
“All of us were very uncomfortable,” he said.
When asked if the juror believed Depp was more believable, he replied that Depp “just seemed a little more real in terms of how he responded to questions. His emotional state was very stable throughout.”
They stated that the jury believed Heard was the aggressor in the relationship, although they thought that “both were abusive to each other.”
The juror said that he blamed Heard’s op-ed for Heard and Depp’s fractured relationship. “If she didn’t do any of this stuff with the op-eds, Johnny Depp could have helped her out in her career,” he stated. “They didn’t leave things on a nasty turn [when they divorced]. It turned nasty after the op-ed.”
