An enormous alligator basked on a Florida golf course leering at golfers this week
The scene took place at a Sebring golf course in Florida.
While the total size of the alligator is unclear, the biggest alligator ever recorded was 14 feet long and the heaviest ever recorded weighed 1,043 pounds.

According to Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservative Commission, alligators feed on fish, snakes, turtles, birds and other small game. Luckily, they do not eat the Florida golfers that they share the course with.
A photographer post an image of the beast with the caption: “Welcome to Florida, home of Jurassic Park”
The post generated over 2,000 comments. One commenter oberserved: “We have lived in Florida since ’89. The biggest I have ever seen was laying across a canal near a boat ramp in Debary about 20 years ago. He was a bit bigger than this one. We just turned the boat around and went the other way.”
