Judge Reinhold was arrested Thursday afternoon for causing a disturbance after refusing to be screened at a local Dallas airport.
Reinhold, known for such movies as Beverly Hills Cop, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and Gremlins, was charged with a misdemeanor for disorderly conduct. His bag set off an alarm at Dallas Love Field Airport, but refused to be searched.
Steve Stodghill, Reinhold’s attorney, says that his client did not understand why he was being stopped because he did not set off the scanner, and so made a fuss.
A spokeswoman for the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Reinhold’s release on Friday, though would not specify if charged had been dropped or if bail had been posted. A source from the police department described Reinhold as being “friendly and apologetic” as he left the jail around midnight.
