Joshua Jackson Talks 'Dawson's Creek' Reunion

They've all gone on to have the relatively impressive careers that many early fans of Dawson's Creek might not have expected back when the WB show debuted on January 20, 1998, and it looks like James Van Der Beek (Dawson Leery), Katie Holmes (Joey Potter), Michelle Williams (Jen Lindley) and Joshua Jackson (Pacey Witter) haven't forgotten where they came from, though they have collectively gone on to star in such projects as the Oscar-nominated Blue Valentine and My Week with Marilyn (Williams), Batman Begins and Thank You for Smoking (Holmes), the popular Fox series, Fringe (Jackson) and the recently renewed ABC Don't Trust The B— In Apt. 23, not to mention some hilarious Funny or Die memes (Van Der Beek).

Jackson recently wavered on the topic of a Dawson's Creek reunion when he spoke with The Hollywood Reporter. "Well, we killed the show so I don't think that's ever going to happen," he said on the one hand, before following with, "Never say never. If I'm out of work for enough years, absolutely. We'll be old and gray and nasty by the time."

Van Der Beek addressed the question in April, too, when he was doing promotion for Don't Trust the B— in Apt. 23. "I feel like this is the number one question that we get asked. Nobody's producing it, nobody's writing it, it's just something that comes in press," Van Der Beek said, reports the Huffington Post.

Williams also previously told Vulture that she would be "totally up for reunion tours, reunion shows." Rumor had it awhile ago, according to Us Weekly, that Holmes was the hold-up for such an idea — not because she didn't want to do a reunion; quite the contrary. She said at the time that she thought it would be "fun" to "reconnect" with those Dawson's Creek fans. Instead, it was reportedly the influence of hubby Tom Cruise that made her hesitate. He encouraged her to leave the past in the past.
