Josh Duggar, the former 19 Kids & Counting star, is being taken to court over the photo he used on his Ashley Madison account, according to reports on Friday.
Matt McCarthy, a Los Angeles DJ and photographer, claims in a new lawsuit filed this week that Duggar used a photo of McCarthy he found on the internet for his Ashley Madison profile — a dating website that finds people who want to have an affair, which Duggar admitted to having an account for last year.
McCarthy says Duggar’s use of his picture led to “harassing and humiliating messages” linking him to the scandal, according to the court documents.
The DJ added that Duggar’s use of his photo also got him mocked as “DJ Duggar” and led to him losing out on professional work in his music career.
McCarthy is asking for monetary compensation, due to his alleged loss of income, job security, and reputation as a result of the alleged photo use.
Duggar has reportedly reunited with his wife, Anna, after leaving his faith-based rehabilitation clinic in March, following an admission to his infidelity and porn addiction last year.
