Jon Voight Reunites With Daughter Angelina Jolie

After seven years of estrangement, Angelina Jolie and her father actor Jon Voight reunited on Sunday in Venice, where Jolie is preparing to shoot The Tourist with Johnny Depp.

Also present for the photo-op was husband Brad Pitt, who teamed with Jolie’s brother James Haven to thaw the chilly daughter-dad relationship. The first straw in the Jolie-Voight feud came after dad denounced Jolie’s affinity for PDAs with the more mature Billy Bob Thornton, and then intensified when Voight discussed his daughter’s “serious mental problems” publicly in 2001.

Pitt reportedly believed Voight deserved a second chance and convinced her to invite her dad to the City of Bridges for gelato and a trip down the Grand Canal. –AHMED MORI
