On Thursday’s episode of The Daily Show, Jon Stewart revealed the names of the guests stars who will be joining him on the last episode after 16 years as host: Amy Schumer, Louis C.K. and Denis Leary.
JON STEWART CONFIRMS NAMES OF GUESTS STARS FOR THE DAILY SHOW FINALE
During a segment called “Jon Stewart’s Askhole” on last Tuesday’s, July 28, episode, the host revealed that comedians C.K. and Leary are two of his favorite guests stars because they’re all great friends, so he doesn’t have to do much work. “My favorite guests are my friends,” Stewart replied to correspondents Jordan Klepper and Hasan Minhaj who asked questions sent in by fans on Twitter. “[Denis] Leary, Louis C.K., Colin Quinn. I get to not work, f— around with them for five minutes.”
Earlier this month Leary tweeted about his appearance on Stewart’s finale show.
Not many details are known about the Daily Show finale, which will air on Aug. 6, other than the reveal of some of the names of the guests, and it’s extended 50-minutes duration. “Remember, next week is our last week,” Stewart told his audience. “We’re going to have a ball, and I can’t wait to show my appreciation at all the support and enthusiasm that you guys have given the show all these years.”
As a lead up to Thursday’s episode, Comedy Central will air a day-long marathon Stewart’s most famous episodes and guests starting at 10:30 a.m.
