Jon Stewart called presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump a “man-baby” in a new interview with David Axelrod.

Jon Stewart On Donald Trump

Stewart weighed in on Trump and the general state of the 2016 election on Axelrod’s The Axe Files podcast Monday.

“[Trump] is a man-baby. He has the physical countenance of a man, and a baby’s temperament and hands,” Stewart told Axelrod, adding of Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter, “Graydon Carter did a joke about Donald Trump’s hands 25 years ago, he’s still not f–king over it.”

“Are you eligible to run if you are a man-baby? Or a baby man?” Stewart asked.

Stewart, who has previously referred to Trump as a “boiled ham in a wig,” went on to call out Trump’s position on Muslims.

“Muslims, hey man, all he’s saying is they’re evil and they shouldn’t be allowed in this country. He’s just telling it like it is. But god forbid you say Happy Holidays in December, it’s f–king war,” Stewart mocked. “The problems in this country is not because of Mexicans and Muslims….You have one party in American whose sole purpose is to freeze the government and not fix any of the problems associated with it.”

While Stewart pointedly went after Trump and the Republican party at large, he didn’t spare the Democratic Party criticism either. Stewart believes that the Democrats need to take responsibility for their part in failing to make a case for government that would make the demagoguery coming from the right less effective.

“The door is open to an a–hole like Donald Trump because the Democrats haven’t done enough to show people that government, that can be effective for people, can be efficient for people,” he said. “And if you can’t do that, then you’ve lost the right to make that change and someone’s going to come in and demagogue you.”
