Jon Bon Jovi, the New Jersey rocker, recently surprised a big fan of his who is battling lung cancer.

Jon Bon Jovi Surprises Fan

Bon Jovi greeted a stunned Carol Cesario at his restaurant, the Soul Kitchen in Toms River, N.J. Cesario was dining at the restaurant with her family members, who had helped to arrange the surprise, when Bon Jovi joined them for dinner. “We kept it a secret for almost a month,” said Cesario’s daughter, Rosie Skripkunis, to the Asbury Park Press. “It was worth it keeping it from her.”

Bon Jovi spent two hours with the family, and treated them all to a preview of the new Bon Jovi album, This House is Not For Sale. He also gifted Cesario with a signed guitar.

“Today Jon Bon Jovi and the amazing people at his kitchen helped my mothers dream come true. She has stage 4 lung cancer and her dream was to meet Jon,” Skripkunis wrote on Facebook. “He invited us to his restaurant and surprised our mom today. Spending over a hour with all of us, letting her hear his new album, and giving her a signed guitar and book.”

She added, “It was a very emotional and amazing day for our whole family and we thank you all so so much. Thank you for the amazing day and the great food and thank you to Meme, Carol, Dorothea, and Jon for making this day so special. You have no idea what this meant to us. This is a day we will never forget. Thank you so much for these memories with our mom and her Bons.”

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help Cesario with her medical costs.
