Jon Bon Jovi was a guest at a wedding when he was called up on stage to join the wedding band in singing his hit “Livin’ On A Prayer.”
Bon Jovi had been sitting a table, taking in the wedding band’s performance of “Livin’ On a Prayer,” when lead singer Lourdes Valentin urged him to join her. Though Bon Jovi was obviously reluctant to head up to the mic, the rocker eventually gave in and finished up the popular track with Valentin – and the many wedding guests who knew the lyrics as well.
Ahead of the private wedding in Miami, Valentin had been made aware that Bon Jovi would be one of the wedding guests. With that in mind, she came prepared to sing “Livin’ On a Prayer,” and hoped that he would join her. When she approached him before the reception, Bon Jovi told her that he probably wouldn’t be up for singing, but in the end, he got up on stage to the delight of the crowd.
Bon Jovi’s self-titled band released their latest album – their 13th – Burning Bridges last year. They’re following up the album, which had featured songs that the band hadn’t finished for their 12th album What Bout Now, this coming fall. Bon Jovi will be dropping their 14th album,This House Is Not for Sale.
